Product Description
Lifeline® Renal Proximal Tubule Epithelial Cells are normal human Primary Cells. Primary cells come from a wide variety of donors (without the accumulated mutations found in immortal cell lines) to product valid research outcomes.
To maximize the life expectancy of these Primary Cells, Lifeline offers optimized media designed for each Primary Cell type. RenaLife™ Medium is composed and supplemented especially for Primary Renal Epithelial Cells.
When grown in Lifeline RenaLife Renal Epithelial Medium, Primary Proximal Tubule Cells provide an ideal cell system to study renal function, fibrosis, inflammation, metabolism, nephrotoxicity or cancer. Additionally, our normal human Renal Proximal Tubule Cells can be used for drug development or screening.
- Lifeline Primary Renal Cells can be used in high throughput assays, such as cytotoxicity and drug screening assays. Customers that use our Renal Cells for these types of assays report high reproducibility with coefficients of variability below 10% (usually 4-8%).
Renal Proximal Tubule Epithelial Cells are isolated from human kidney tissue.
-
The Primary Cells have been isolated, plated and expanded in culture vessels before being harvested for cryopreservation to ensure the highest purity, viability and plating efficiency..
Our Renal Epithelial Cells are quality tested in RenaLife Medium to ensure optimal reduced-serum growth and maintenance of morphology over a period of at least 15 population doublings at rates equal to or greater than serum-supplemented media.
- Primary Renal Proximal Tubule Epithelial Cells can be grown in a 0.5% serum medium without phenol red or antimicrobials when cultured in RenaLife Medium.
500,000 cells per vial
